How to grow it
Split bulbs into cloves the day you plant. Set clove point-up, 2–3 in. deep, mulch with leaves or straw. In June, cut scapes on hardnecks. Harvest when 4–5 lower leaves have browned. Cure 3 weeks out of sun, then store.
